Fees

The Blueshift protocol charges an exchange fee for every swap operation (except arbitrage swaps with reduced reserves). The current fee level is 0.3%. The fee consists of two components:

• liquidity providers’ fee is kept in portfolios and added to liquidity shares of LPs;

• protocol fee is accumulated and then exchanged for BLUES tokens on surplus auctions.

Cross-chain Swap Fees via BluesChain

Cross-chain swaps between different blockchains also require BLUES tokens as the gas fee to be paid when performing a swap.

To help with the usability and user experience, the purchasing of the BLUES token to pay for those fees is done within the swap transaction between chains.
